Brim hat, Aguacatan crochet

Aguacatan crochet brim hats are stronger and stiffer than those made by other villages, since it's done with a thicker gauge cotton thread. I usually have large sizes available. Colors and patterns vary and this sampler photo is not the same as stock. These began to be made in the 1980's when foreigners requested hats in the same style tapestry crochet as the Awateko make their black and white bags. Colored ones only began to be made in the late 1990's.
